The Roosevelt Group has been selected to represent MassDevelopment on matters involving the Commonwealth’s military installations and missions. Massachusetts is home to six military bases - Hanscom Air Force Base , Westover Air Reserve Base, Barnes Air National Guard Base, Fort Devens, the U.S. Army’s Natick Soldier Systems Center, and the joint base Massachusetts Military Reservation on Cape Cod.
MassDevelopment works with businesses, nonprofits, and local, state, and federal officials and agencies to strengthen the Massachusetts economy. The Roosevelt Group will partner with Massachusetts-based ADS Ventures on this representation.
The Roosevelt Group specializes in supporting communities hosting military installations. In the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) round, they partnered with 17 affected communities to preserve military installations and mitigate the potential effects of mission realignment, with an unblemished success rate.
The firm also announced that it will continue to represent the Hampton Roads Military and Federal Facilities Alliance (HRMFFA). The firm has represented HRMFFA since 2006 and was in competition with several other lobbying and law firms for the opportunity to continue representing this coalition of cities and counties in Hampton Roads, Virginia.
The Roosevelt Group is a one-stop shop for government affairs consulting, business development and advocacy client services, with an emphasis on defense, education and homeland security.
