"We value our customers and their time too much to let this continue to be a point of frustration. Bunion pain is frustrating enough!”

Once again, Bunion Bootie listens to the feedback of its customers and acts swiftly to make changes, this time to improve the checkout process. According to Bunion Bootie management, customers were having a very challenging time finding the option to pay by credit card (because it was buried under an obscure link in super small font on the Paypal site) and many international customers didn’t even have the option to pay by credit card! Even more complaints were generated when the visitor was taken from Bunion Bootie’s website to Paypal’s secure website to complete their checkout, constant delays and timing out frustrated customers and it often resulted in abandoned shopping carts. “We received many requests from customers requesting for alternatives to Paypal” says Bunion Bootie’s Customer Service manager “We needed to make a change, and make it quick. We value our customers and their time too much to let this continue to be a point of frustration. Bunion pain is frustrating enough!”
This led Bunion Bootie to jump on the opportunity to test out Paypal’s new product available to online merchants called “Paypal Advanced”. Paypal Advanced makes the path to paying with credit card much less convoluted and a much faster route. Once the visitor clicks on Checkout from their Shopping Cart the customer immediately has the option to either; login to their Paypal account and pay that way, OR just quickly and easily enter their credit card information on the appropriate lines on that very same page. Just like that, their purchase is complete! All while never leaving BunionBootie.com, which solves the timing out and delays customers were experiencing previously. The very best part is, the data is just as safe as if they were directly on Paypal.com’s website because the new payment options are presented in an iFrame, which is technical-speak for saying Paypal’s webpage (and therefore the data collection) is being securely collected and displayed from WITHIN the BunionBootie.com’s webpage.
Now it’s not all roses yet says Bunion Bootie. There are still some things to work out. For example, some customers might not think they are on a secure site because the “https” doesn’t appear in the URL. Not to worry though, because the data is not being collected or saved by Bunion Bootie. Since Paypal acts as Bunion Bootie’s merchant account in this scenario, the checkout process still happens on Paypal’s side, through a little window called an iFrame. It is just as secure with a team of qualified professionals and the very best in technology guarding it at Paypal. Savvy website visitors can see this for themselves by viewing the source code. Anyone who prefers to pay by phone is also welcome to contact Customer Service Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm PT.
Bunion Bootie was established in 2011 by a small group of fellow bunion sufferers who came together in search for a viable non-surgical treatment for bunions, a solution that they felt did not exist previously. Bunion Bootie is the perfect answer for those where staying off their feet is just not an option, including office workers, shift workers, and athletes. It slips in any shoes easily, comfortably, and for most, undetectably to provide all day relief from the rubbing and irritation most shoes cause bunions. Irritation that if left untreated, can result in blisters, swelling, tenderness, and sometimes bursitis which only exacerbates the discomfort already felt by those suffering from daily bunion pain. At only 0.4mm thick, it even fits comfortably in high heels and running shoes. Additionally, as summer starts to take off it’s good to know that it is also made with odor and bacteria resistant materials.
