How are colleges leveraging the power of content and the art of storytelling to engage their most important heroes—their “right fit” prospects, parents, alumni and donors? Why is old school marketing that talks at these key audiences giving way to tactics that capture their interests by placing them (and the institution) in the heart of the story? These higher education marketing questions and others will be answered at an upcoming seminar "How Content Became King," on July 25th at The Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia.
This seminar, hosted by Elliance, will explore why (and how) future-minded colleges are transitioning from outbound marketing to more effective strategies that use the marriage of storytelling, social media marketing and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) to attract more “right fit” students, enlist major donors and engage alumni.
Some of the topics covered will include how colleges can integrate their content and social media strategies; how to get more traction from status updates, tweets, blog entries, press releases and videos; and the role of storytelling and content strategy in driving search engine ranking, online visibility and, ultimately, enrollment and brand strength.
“Content isn’t about publishing, placement and PR,” explains Abu Noaman, CEO of Elliance and a seminar presenter. “At its core, higher ed content is about telling the institutional story, across all channels, in a way that engages their heroes and positions the college as a strategic juncture along their journey.”
Elliance has helped colleges and universities throughout the country with their higher education marketing needs and was recently recognized by the Higher Education Marketing Report’s 27th Annual Education Advertising Awards for the website they created on behalf of St. Edward’s University.
