Furdiburb®, the most popular virtual pet, has a new update available in the Google Play Store. After vacationing on Earth, Furdiburb's parents accidentally leave their baby alien behind. Players step up to the task by adopting, feeding, and caring for their pet while figuring out how to send him home by solving puzzles, playing mini-games, and fixing up a broken spaceship. Players can mutate their pets for different looks, collect houses and furniture, go fishing, surf the stars, dodge bugs, and play challenging musical games.
In this game, the background is constantly changing. The sun and the moon travel across the sky based on real-time. Squirrels that grow off of plants? Alien poop that looks like Neapolitan ice cream? Fans frequently comment on the game's colorful art and whimsical nature.
The bulk of this update, which centers around Furdiburb's growth, will finally allow him to mature and reach adulthood. "We've been working on bulking up puzzle and action mini-games, so we had to put Furdiburb's growth cycle on the back burner," explains Danny Ata, co-founder and artist. "We've reached a point where we can focus on the virtual pet, finally adding a big and detailed growth cycle. I'm excited for our fans to grow their Furdiburb from a cute little blob, through an awkward teenage phase, and finally into the awesome fuzzy mature phase!"
Gold poop, the form of premium currency in this game, may be purchased in bulk and is also produced by the alien each day so that non-paying players are not excluded from bonus content. Sheado.net is also debuting the Infinite Gold Poop Bundle. "Some game companies will gladly take your money over and over again for in-game items with no clear end in sight," remarked Chad Ata, co-founder and developer. "With this bundle you know exactly how much all of the premium items will cost, and you won't have to spend any more money if more premium items are added in the future."
In addition to improving the virtual pet aspects of Furdiburb, the developers incorporated changes and improvements requested by the fans. The most requested of these is an option to easily pass the Firefly Game - to which Team Furdi responded by adding easier workarounds to suit both casual and hardcore players. Another fan-driven improvement is the addition of new houses and furniture based off of the Facebook poll in which the Treehouse and Steampunk themes were chosen.
