“Our expansion in both our office space and services has been driven by the needs of our patients"

David and Dawn Bush, partners and health care providers at The Oaks Healthcare Center, are pleased to announce the relocation and expansion of their practice. Grand Opening Celebration to be held July 13th from 5:30-7:00pm at 20121 W. Lake Houston Pkwy #1600, Humble, TX.

“Our expansion in both our office space and services has been driven by the needs of our patients,” says David Bush, partner and the family nurse practitioner at The Oaks Healthcare Center. “At a time when our patient’s needs are becoming more challenging, we made long range plans to bring cutting edge and comprehensive solutions to the table.” Formerly The Oaks Chiropractic Center on 1960 East, the Bush’s are now on West Lake Houston Parkway. “We changed the name slightly to The Oaks Healthcare,” says Dawn Bush, partner and the facility’s chiropractor. “While we will continue to provide chiropractic care, David’s nurse practitioner services will allow us to provide a more rounded selection of medical services to those folks who need more. We are finding that approaching the health of our patients from this multi-disciplinary view provides the patient with amazing results in their overall health as well as eliminating their body aches and pains.”

Health care in our country continues to be a hot button topic, particularly as the Supreme court has ruled on Obama’s health care program. “For all that our health care system is at a cross-roads,” says Dawn Bush, “many of our health problems are affected directly by life-style choices. These modifiable health risks remain at the core of the individual’s ability to take charge of their health, and will affect how well a person heals from an injury.” Patients that are over-weight, have jobs that require repetitive moves or force them to sit all day, often have a hard time getting their health back after an injury. The care they need must focus on these issues for the best improvement.

Back and joint pain is on many “top 10” lists of expensive medical conditions. It is one of the most expensive conditions to plague employers, a fact Dr. David is well acquainted with. He has provided preventative services for a local oil company that has saved them over $2 million dollars in the last several years. A common medical approach for back pain is medication. The New York Times reported June 2, 2012 that using pain pills as a solution for work injuries is an expensive and often ineffective approach that ultimately fails in getting folks back to work. “The care we are providing is focused on complete rehabilitation of the spine, or joint that is injured. Physical medicine, specialized soft tissue work, specific stretches and exercises and specialized joint injections can be part of a care plan designed to get the individual back to their life,” says David Bush. “We are really pleased with the direction we are taking our clinic,” Dr. Dawn agrees. “We are already experiencing great patient results as we continue to roll out each of the added services in our new location.”

The Bush’s and The Oaks Healthcare Center are having a Grand Opening Celebration July 13th at their office at 20121 W. Lake Houston Pkwy #1600 in Humble, Texas from 5:30 to 7:00pm. Dawn and David Bush have been health care providers serving the Humble/Kingwood area for the last 20 years. With a combined 40 years experience, the chiropractic care and specialized skills they bring to the table have been keeping their patients moving well.
