(PRWEB UK) 4 July 2012
Dynamo ( http://dynamopr.com ) today announces that they have been appointed by Koubachi, a Swiss-based company, to launch and promote its Koubachi Wi-Fi Plant Sensor and apps in international English speaking markets.
Koubachi have developed a Wi-Fi Plant Sensor that is placed in the soil of any pot plant to monitor the key vitality parameters of a plant. Using a smartphone, the user is notified on the status of the plant at any one time, making sure consumers no longer kill their expensive plants by forgetting to water them.
Dynamo will be focusing on international media relations, social media management and PPC / SEO campaigns for Koubachi. In addition, Dynamo is also strengthening its offering in central Europe by appointing Martin Coul who runs The Coul Room in Lausanne to head up Swiss and German account management and business development as part of the Dynamo Talent team.
“Those with green fingers like Prince Charles have talked for years about the benefits of talking to their plants, so they’re in for a surprise – with this new smart technology from Koubachi, now your plants can talk back to you,” said Peter Bowles, Creative MD for Dynamo. “The market for the ‘internet of things’ represents a huge opportunity for us at Dynamo. IDG estimates that the market could be worth more than £2bn in five years, and we’re already seeing incredible innovation with devices like Koubachi, the Pebble Watch and the Nike FuelBand coming out this year.”
David Kurmann, Marketing Director for Koubachi continues: “Our Swiss engineers toiled away to create the first device to give real-time plant monitoring. We appointed Dynamo to launch the Koubachi Wi-Fi Plant Sensor and app in time for the Chelsea Flower Show and they've already created a buzz about Koubachi on the BBC, Wall Street Journal, Reuters and in the Daily Mail.”
Paul Cockerton, Operations MD for Dynamo added: “We’re delighted to add Martin Coul to strengthen the Dynamo team in Europe. Martin is a well known, highly regarded expert in the mobile and technology sector, most recently setting up Mobicamp, Switzerland’s first mobile focused start-up conference in association with the Swiss Commission for Technology and Innovation."
The Koubachi apps – which can also be used in basic function without a sensor – are available for free, whilst the Wi-Fi Plant Sensor costs £99 from http://store.koubachi.com. One sensor can be used across multiple plants, and purchase of the sensor includes a lifelong free subscription to the Koubachi system, including regular updates of the Apps (new features) and the plant library (new plants). Recently, the Wi-Fi sensor picked up an internationally renowned Red Dot Design Award recognising Koubachi’s high design quality and inspiring design language.
