“Touch-Once” Manufacturing exemplifies a solid understanding by Tsugami of the U.S. demand for increasingly productive and profitable machining solutions to manufacture small, precision parts.

‘Touch-Once’ references the superb efficiency of our machines. The live cutting demos will showcase this efficiency and our new technology’s ease of operation.”

REM Sales, LLC,, of Windsor, Connecticut, announced today the details of its IMTS 2012 technology display.  REM Sales, a division of Morris Group, Inc., is the exclusive North American importer of Precision Tsugami Swiss style machine tools and will be based at Booth S-9410 in the South Hall at McCormick Place in Chicago during IMTS, September 10-15.

Themed around the concept of “Touch-Once” Manufacturing, the Tsugami booth will feature live cutting demonstrations on eight models within its product line.  Demonstrations will show how the opposed gang-tool type Tsugami Swiss style lathes significantly reduce part handling and cutting time through use of multiple live cutting axes, simultaneous operation of main and sub spindles, integration with automatic bar feeders, and quick changeover between direct-drive, guide bushing bar-fed operation and non- guide bushing operation for short or prismatic parts.

According to Michael Mugno, Vice President of REM Sales, “The new B0 Series models reflect a true understanding by Tsugami of the increasingly competitive nature of U.S. manufacturing, especially in the area of small precision parts.  ‘Touch-Once’ references the superb efficiency of our machines. The live cutting demos will showcase this efficiency and our new technology’s ease of operation.”

“Many shops that make small diameter, high quality parts in large volumes appreciate the simplified operation, market- driven features, and affordability of the B0 Series,” adds Scott Anthony, National Sales Manager, REM Sales. “The new B0326 model is a breakthrough development by Tsugami. It extends the significant productivity gains normally associated with Tsugami’s higher priced S and SS Series machines to a very large customer base.”
