The US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce selects growing multicultural advertising agency as a leading Asian-owned business for the third year in a row

San Francisco based multicultural marketing agency Améredia, Inc. was selected a “Fast 50 Asian American Business” by the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC) for the third consecutive year. Améredia was honored alongside leading Asian American businesses at USPAACC’s flagship CelebrAsian Business Opportunity Conference on June 5, 2012 at the Marriott Bethesda North Hotel and Conference Center in Bethesda, Md.

Améredia’s President Sam Jhans received the award from Susan Au Allen, president and CEO, USPAACC; Ravi Saligram, CEO, OfficeMax; Kyle McSlarrow, president, Comcast and NBCUniversal Washington, DC; and Ken Xie, founder, president and CEO, Fortinet, Inc. Other recipients included leading Asian American businesses in the supply chain management, healthcare, professional staffing, food wholesale, technology, media and environmental industries whose collective revenue for last year was over $4 billion and reported up to 400 percent growth rate.

"USPAACC is proud to recognize and showcase the continued robust and steady growth shown by Asian American-owned businesses across industries amid challenging economic times," said Susan Au Allen, president and CEO, USPAACC. "We congratulate our Fast 50 Asian American Businesses--proof positive that through innovation, hard work, and ingenuity, Asian Americans can lead the way as catalysts to the revitalization of our national economy."

CelebrAsian 2012 with the conference theme “The Future is Now: Seize It and Win It,” held from June 4 to 6, 2012, saw more than 600 attendees from Fortune 1000 corporations, government agencies and media companies from all over the country. The businesses represented Americans of Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, Taiwanese and Vietnamese descent. Selection was determined by revenue growth for the past three years and required at least 51 percent Asian American ownership. All finalists were independently verified by the accounting firm Ernst and Young.

Améredia’s selection as a Fast 50 Company comes in succession to other recent recognitions received from mainstream and diversity organizations. Améredia was selected as the “Supplier of the Year” by the Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Delaware Minority Supplier Development Council (PA-NJ-DE MSDC), an NMSDC affiliate council, for its strategic partnership with Comcast Corporation. Earlier this year Améredia was selected as a “Top Business in America” for the second year in a row by DiversityBusiness.com, winning four awards including “Top 100 Women Owned Businesses in California” and “Top 100 Subcontinent Asian American Businesses in the U.S.”
