Progressive Impressions International (Pii), a local company providing personalized direct marketing and e-business solutions, has partnered with Illinois State University (ISU) on scholarship opportunities for students in the School of Information Technology starting in 2012.
With the growing need for local technology talent, Pii has partnered with ISU to offer an annual gift to support four students in their field of technology study. These scholarship opportunities will be introduced in the summer of 2012 to be awarded to students for the fall semester.
This scholarship program will provide incoming or current students the opportunity for continued education. Candidates for the Pii Scholarships in Information Technology must:
- Be accepted as an incoming freshmen student or a current student in good academic standing
- Be enrolled as a major in the School of Information Technology at Illinois State University
- And have unmet financial needs as indicated through completion of the FAFSA
Today, Pii provides support of ISU students through internships, career interview coaching and technology advisory councils, with plans to expand into more areas to help mentor and prepare students for the workforce. “We are excited to further our partnership with ISU and help students enter the exciting field of information technology. With the growing gap between technical resource needs and available talent, we want to encourage and support people entering this field,” said Jamie Huff, President of Progressive Impressions International.
