Percy Hughes and Roberts solicitors have raised the most money from the "Will Aid" campaign in the Wirral, and were in the top 100 offices out of all 1,450 participants.

The nationwide ‘Will Aid’ campaign proved to be another success once again for Percy Hughes & Roberts Solicitors with the latest figures revealing the legal experts were the highest donating firm in the Wirral area and in the top 100 out of 1,450 solicitors’ offices taking part.

The campaign was also a massive success nationwide succeeding in raising more than £2million, beating all previous records.

Every November the Will Aid campaign encourages participating solicitors to waive their fee for writing a professional Will. Instead, they invite clients to make a helpful donation to Will Aid which works on behalf of nine leading UK charities including Actionaid, Age UK, British Red Cross and the NSPCC.

Gareth Edwards, Partner, at Percy Hughes & Roberts Solicitors commented on the news, “We are delighted with being the top donator for the Wirral area and have to thank our two employees Emily Dejon-Stewart and Carol Edwards for all of their hard work and effort for making it possible.

“We have been a supporter of Will Aid for a number of years now and are proud to have enabled hundreds of people with the peace of mind of a professionally written Will as well as having the added pleasure of supporting one of the many UK charities the campaign supports.”

As a result of the nationwide success of Will Aid, many local charities in the Wirral area have been inspired to run similar schemes with Percy Hughes & Roberts supporting ‘Make a Will Month’ on behalf of the Wirral Hospice St John’s throughout May.

Gareth Edwards, Partner, says, “We are more than pleased to confirm we have once again signed up to the Wirral Hospice St John’s Make a Will Month throughout May after the success of Will Aid. This is an excellent opportunity for clients to make a donation to a local charity as well as ensuring their loved ones are provided for.”

The aim of the charity campaign is to help Wirral Hospice St John’s continue providing expert care for patients with progressive illnesses and maintain its reputation as a highly professional treatment centre with the refurbishment of a new In-Patient Unit.
