To celebrate its 10th anniversary year, Opus Energy, the Oxford and Northampton-based power provider, will be launching a £10k video competition – Opus Energy Gift - to help power the projects of local community groups, charities, and not-for-profit organisations.

Local not-for-profit community groups in Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire have been encouraged to create and submit a short video identifying the purpose and aim of the group and what project they would use the Opus Energy Gift money for. Information about the video submission process is available at http://www.opusenergygift.com.

The £10k Opus Energy Gift will be divided into 10 separate prizes and broken down into the following:

  • One gift of £3,000
  • Two gifts of £2,000
  • Three gifts of £600
  • Four gifts of £300

Winning video submissions are open for public voting at http://www.opusenergygift.com, and judged by a panel of local representatives and Opus Energy executives. Judges will consider the impact that each shortlisted project will have on the communities of Oxfordshire or Northamptonshire and decide which groups will receive one of the 10 gifts.

Questions and requests for further information about the Opus Energy Gift or Opus Energy should be made by telephoning 0845 263 7214 or emailing gift(at)opusenergy(dot)com.
