New Facebook campaign benefits injured military personnel.
Capitol Supply launches a “Like” to Give Campaign devoted raising funds for the A-Rated military charity, Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
Starting July 2, 2012, the company will donate $1, for each Facebook “Like” on its Facebook company page (http://www.Facebook.com/CapitolSupply), to the Fund. Each month a different charity will be featured. The company will donate a maximum of $1, 000 per month.
The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund was started in 2003. It has provided close to $120 million in support to families of military personnel lost in service to our nation and for severely wounded military personnel and veterans.
Capitol Supply’s “Like” to Give Campaign is designed to bring awareness to military charities that are serving military personnel, and their families – and hopes other business will find creative ways to both donate to charities and provide inspiration.
David Ostan, the company’s vice president of sales, formerly worked on quality of life initiatives on Air Force bases in Germany. And, he’s travelled to almost every military installation in the world. He’s seen the effects of returning and active duty soldiers, airmen, seaman, and marines. He personally chose the “Like” to Give charities.
Ostan commented, “Military charities provide a valuable and much needed resource for injured soldiers and their families.”
Ostan explains Capitol Supply’s role - “We provide products to facilities on military installations that support quality of life; fitness centers, child development centers, and libraries. The “Like” to Give Campaign will enable us to improve the quality of life for severely injured military personnel.”
