Some highlights from the most recent reports are below, which can be found at http://insights.chitika.com:
- Windows still maintains the lion’s share of the PC market, but we expect a major shakeup with Apple’s upcoming release of its latest Mountain Lion OS and new laptop computers announced at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference
- Google’s Chrome and Mozilla’s Firefox continue their fierce battle within the browser market, with each platform announcing major updates this past month, and upcoming moves in the mobile space
- Google’s dominant search engine usage share dropped more than a full percentage point in June. With Bing introducing tools like social search and local tie-ins, their share grew the most out of any search engine last month. Look for this continuing innovation to cement Bing’s place as the second-most popular search engine in the near future
- Samsung posted the largest gains of any mobile manufacturer, with its tablets and smartphones consuming 11.64% of all mobile traffic – the largest of any Android manufacturer
