Legendary news anchor and host of Anderson Cooper announced today that he is openly gay and he is proud of it. Cooper was asked his views on an article published about gay celebrities which he announced that he is gay, always will be, and is proud of it.

A representative of states that Anderson Cooper should be applauded for not only his work as a news anchor but also for finally having enough confidence in himself to announce that he is gay. Sexual orientation should not even be an issue with the way someone is treated or viewed, especially such a high profile figure such as Anderson Cooper.
