L-arginine Plus, a cardio health supplement produced in Utah, has grown in popularity over the past two years, with sales exceeding early estimates. The company found that many customers purchasing the product through the l-arginine.com site, would bennifit from a redesigned site.
It was at an L-arginine customer service center where customers voiced their feedback on the site. Jeff, manager of the Mesa, Arizona based service center, collected feedback and had this to say about his findings, “We were getting great testimonial feedback from our customers, but they had no efficient way to communicate this through the website. We had features to allow interactive feedback, but it was hidden in the design of our site.” News of this reached the owners of L-arginine Plus and it was quickly determined that a new site was needed.
“We knew we had to do something to accommodate our customers,” said Dave Schenk, one of the owners of the company. He went on to say, “If someone is going to take the time to look at our site and even come back to our site repeatedly, we have to provide a platform that delivers an exceptional experience...”. When looking at the newly designed site, one of the first features experienced that was not present on the previous version is the ability to easily join the company's facebook and twitter accounts. The designers also incorporated use of facebook testimonial received by posting them directly on the site's home page.
Other pages within the site, also incorporated areas where visitors could join the companies social media networks. Pictures of some of L-arginine’s customers were gathered and displayed on the sites testimonial page. When asked about the design changes of the site, Tom, the lead designer commented “We used a lot of visual features that were not on the original site including the use of more customer pictures” He continued to say, “We wanted to make links within the site really visually pop and make sure that if someone had a question on where to go within the site, at a glance they could find it and navigate there.”
The site relaunched on June 11th, almost two years after the original launch of the site. It is still too early to determine if the new site will please customers but the staff at L-arginine Plus is excited with the new look and feel of the site.
