The Fourth of July is often filled with cookouts, fireworks and road trips to visit family and friends, but it is important to remember to celebrate safely. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recently reported that the death toll on America’s roads is highest on Independence Day. That’s why Amica Insurance is offering some tips to keep everyone safe on the roads this week.
“The Fourth of July is a busy holiday with many people traveling,” said Lisa DeCubellis, a senior assistant vice president with Amica Insurance. “It’s important to take extra precautions and be careful on the roads, no matter what time of day it is.”
According to recent reports, teens are involved in car crashes four times more often than any other age group. Teenagers need to concentrate on driving safely and always be aware of other drivers.
Here are a few reminders for all drivers:
