New York City Diner and Hell's Kitchen eatery Morning Star Restaurant recently re-opened its doors after a major renovation that closed the restaurant for months. The food is still virtually the same, but Morning Star's new owners couldn't help but add a few things during the downtime. Now, the menu will include smoothies made with Greek yogurt and international breakfast plates alongside the famous pancakes that keep people coming back again and again.
“We're happy to be open again in time for the summer, when everyone really gets out,” said owner Costas Nestoras. “We've worked hard to keep the favorites on the menu, to add some new items as well, and to just generally spruce the place up. I feel great about it!”
Another hallmark of Morning Star is the service. When customers come to Morning Star, they can expect to be treated in a friendly manner and get speedy, delicious food that won't break your budget. And Morning Star Restaurant offers online ordering, free delivery and breakfast and burgers all day, so whatever your craving is, you can get it at Morning Star. But don't think they're rushing you out the door – that's contrary to their whole philosophy:
“It's important that people feel at home at Morning Star." Costas said. “We want people to come in and feel relaxed - a neighborhood restaurant where you can drink a cup of coffee, get some breakfast, and read the paper. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner."
Located in Hell's Kitchen just blocks from Columbus Circle, Morning Star Restaurant is near Fordham University's Lincoln Center Campus on Ninth Ave at 57th St. Plus, Morning Star is open late Thursday-Saturday.
