Spartanburg, SC (PRWEB) July 07, 2012
Located in Spartanburg, SC, Evans Training Center is a Christian drug and alcohol rehabilitation ministry. Since opening in 2010, the center has helped those suffering from addiction to recover and find their true calling in life. Now, the ministry is proud to announce a partnership with Habitat For Humanity, where program members will get to help their local communities while learning leadership and other vital skills.
Habitat For Humanity is a non profit organization that helps build homes for the less fortunate. Their partnership with Evans Training Center allows members of the center to give back while working to break out of the bondage of addiction. By letting members focus their energy in productive pursuits, members of Evans Training Center will be able to find ways to make a difference in their lives and in the lives of others.
By working together for a noble cause, recovering addicts will learn skills and techniques that they can then apply to other areas of their lives. The goal at Evans Training Center is to give their members lasting strategies to help manage and overcome their addictions. The staff at the center does this by helping members achieve freedom through a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. The center believes that this relationship can help members find meaning and purpose in their lives beyond addiction.
Evans Training Center understands the vicious cycle that drug and alcohol dependency can become. The center believes that it is not enough to try and quit substance abuse. Those looking for recovery must find something to fill the void created by the lack of drugs and alcohol. The goal at Evans Training Center is to give its members a purpose and mission, and the ministries partnership with Habitat For Humanity is a good example of that strategy in action.
About the company:
Evans Training Center was established as a Christ-centered Residential Regeneration Ministry in 2010. The ministry was birthed out of a burden for the many lives being affected by the devastation of drugs and alcohol here in the upstate. Ben and Jessica Dismukes along with Ben's parents Robby and Vida are natives of Spartanburg County and members of Restoration Church. The vision was birthed as Robby and Vida returned from seeing Ben one weekend as he attended Dunklin Memorial Camp in Okeechobee, Florida where he went to get help for his drug addiction.
