The Playhouse site has been created to serve as an electronic home for visitors, showcasing our exciting upcoming performances, programs, and events, guiding guests to discover how to experience and feel part of the Playhouse.
New Hope, PA (PRWEB) July 09, 2012
Imbue Creative an award-winning design, marketing, and web development firm located in Bucks County, PA, designed and built a new content-managed website for America's most famous summer theater: the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA. The new website is a central component in the creation of a digital presence for the legendary theater and part of a promotional strategy aimed at attracting and building an audience online. Design, messaging, and functionality are the result of a close collaboration between the playhouse’s senior production team and the Imbue design team.
The new site is easy to update through a web-based administration area that allows theater management to easily keep playhouse information current, deliver news items quickly, and create online content for shows and events as the season advances and offerings change. Theatergoers have the ability to learn about the shows, casts, and special events; they can also buy tickets 24/7 through a virtual box office, buy memberships and subscriptions, and provide additional support to the playhouse through online fundraising options.
“The Playhouse site has been created to serve as an electronic home for visitors, showcasing our exciting upcoming performances, programs, and events, guiding guests to discover how to experience and feel part of the Playhouse,” said Producing Director Jed Bernstein. "The new website is an integral part of the playhouse's marketing strategy and has been designed to be scalable and easy to update as the theater's needs grow,” states Michael Piperno, President at Imbue Creative.

About Bucks County Playhouse
Located 90 minutes from New York City, the Bucks County Playhouse opened in 1939 on the site of a grist mill dating from the late eighteenth century. Ironically, the structure was at that time in danger of demolition; however playwright Moss Hart and the local community rallied to save the building and reopened it as a theatrical venue, which quickly became one of the country’s most famous regional theaters. In continuous operation until December 2010, a veritable who’s who of American theatrical royalty has trod its boards, including Kim Hunter, Helen Hayes, Kitty Carlisle, Colleen Dewhurst, Shirley Booth, Lillian Gish, June Lockhart, Grace Kelly, Robert Redford, Bert Lahr, Leslie Nielsen and Walter Matthau. http://www.bcptheater.org
