The “can’t miss” event for healthcare professionals and researchers who study and manage patients with inflammatory bowel diseases has been announced for 2012. Endorsed by the ACG, NASPGHAN and AGA, the conference offers workshops (The Future of IBD), a two-track format for clinicians and researchers, and sessions for allied health professionals and pediatric gastroenterologists.

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) and Imedex are pleased to announce the 2012 Advances in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s Clinical & Research Conference in Hollywood, Florida on December 13-15, 2012. This year commemorates the 11th anniversary of what has become the “can’t miss” event for healthcare professionals and researchers who study and manage patients with inflammatory bowel diseases.

This activity is intended for gastroenterologists, pediatric gastroenterologists, IBD sub-specialists, internists, gastroenterology nurses, gastroenterology mid-level providers, gastrointestinal surgeons, clinical researchers, and other health care professionals with an interest in the treatment of pediatric and adult patients with inflammatory bowel diseases.

This conference is endorsed by American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (NASPGHAN), is organized by Imedex, LLC and sponsored through the UAMS College of Medicine Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. This continuing nursing education activity is approved by the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, Inc., an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Co-chaired by Richard P. MacDermott, MD, MACG and Stephen B. Hanauer, MD, FACG, the outstanding faculty is comprised of over 55 expert specialists who will lead the sessions and interact with conference attendees. Workshops (The Future of IBD and The Basics of IBD) will be featured alongside the expanded two-track format for clinicians and researchers. The conference also continues to offer expanded sessions for allied health professionals and pediatric gastroenterologists. All tracks will be comprised of the foremost bench to bedside leaders from across the country.
