1-800-PetMeds loves their pets, and luckily, they love everyone else’s too.

Some of the PetMeds staff have relatives and friends in the Colorado Springs area, and we jumped at the chance to help out.

Recently, 1-800-PetMeds, America's Largest Pet Pharmacy, answered the call to help animals affected by the wildfires in Colorado. The company sent a large donation of supplies to one of the hardest hit animal shelters in Colorado - the Pikes Peak Humane Society - the largest animal shelter in southern and western Colorado. The dedicated volunteers at this shelter have been working around the clock to care for the evacuated pets of the Waldo Canyon Fire in Colorado Springs.

Included in the relief shipment were anti-bacterial and first aid products too. The products included the company's private label 1-800-PetMeds Be Soothed Shampoo to relieve minor irritations and soothe bacterial infections and Nolvasan Skin and Wound Cleanser. In addition, they sent numerous bottles of 1-800-PetMeds Oatmeal & Aloe Vera Shampoo to clean up dirty paws and fur. In all, PetMeds has donated $1,000.00 in products.

Other donated products include 1-800-PetMeds Be Soothed Tea Tree Oil Skin Relief Spray, Excel Hydrocortisone Spray and 1-800-PetMeds Ear Cleansing Solution.

“Some of the PetMeds staff have relatives and friends in the Colorado Springs area, and we jumped at the chance to help out” – said Dana Baca, PetMeds’ Donations Coordinator.
