Maui Wowi Hawaiian joins the growing list of vendors that will be attending the 7th Annual Pet-a-paw-looza and Dog-a-thon charity event put together by the not-for-profit organization Pets on Wheels. The family friendly event will be held July 7 and 8 near Baltimore at the Maryland State Fairgrounds.
“Maui Wowi Hawaiian is privileged to be a part of this heartwarming event,” said Maui Wowi Franchise Operator, Mike Pyne. “Animals have the unique ability to bring joy and happiness to those around them. Pet-a-paw-looza is a great opportunity to contribute to an organization committed to providing beneficial services to those in need through the help of our four legged friends.”
Pets on Wheels is a volunteer based organization founded in 1982 that pays friendly visits to the elderly at nursing homes and other institutional settings, according to their website. Dogs share an unconditional love with the people they visit and their company is intended to soothe loneliness as well as provide beneficial stimulation to patients with cognitive disabilities.
Pyne has signed on to serve Maui Wowi Hawaiian’s all-natural and gluten-free fresh fruit smoothies and warm cups of Hawaiian coffee from his mobile event unit, known as a Ka’anapali Cart, at the two day event. Pyne will also be donating a percentage of his revenue from the event to Pets on Wheels as part of Maui Wowi’s No-Work-Fundraising Program, which is designed to give back to organizations while delivering great tasting, healthy beverages to customers.
Pet-a-paw-looza and Dog-a-thon will be located inside the Exhibition Hall at the Maryland State Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, July 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Children under the age of 5 are free. For more information on the event or to find out more about Pets on Wheels, please visit http://www.petsonwheels.org.
