According to the US News and World Report, Dr. Joseph Purita, the doctor behind The Institute of Regenerative and Molecular Orthopaedics is one of the world’s top doctors.

This is a title that has been earned thanks to his research and work in stem cell therapy and platelet rich plasma therapy. Dr. Purita uses the treatment methods to address sports-related injuries, often preventing the need for aggressive surgeries often required for the repair of ligaments, muscles and tendons.

Stem cells must be harvested directly from a patient for treatment, either from bone marrow, or from the cell-rich abdomen. Stem cells are then injected into the area that requires reparation in order to help speed the recovery period. These treatments do not act as overnight solutions, nor are they a cure-all.
