ASCO Signed Memorandum of Agreement with Premium AEROTEC to Deliver Titanium Parts of the Main Landing Gear Attachment of the A350 XWB

- The work package includes eight machined parts for the main landing gear attachment of the A350 XWB. - The memorandum of agreement confirms Asco’s expertise for the manufacturing of complex mechanical components.

Farnborough, UK.- Asco, proven specialist from design to manufacturing of high lift devices and complex precision mechanical subassemblies for the aerospace industry, has signed a memorandum of agreement paving the way for a ten-year cooperation with Premium AEROTEC, leading tier-1 supplier for commercial and military aircraft structures, to supply machined parts made from titanium for the A350 XWB’s main landing gear attachment.

The package is composed of eight parts, 2 cantilever fittings, 2 pintle fitting outboards, 2 pintle fitting inboard and 2 side stay fitting. After production, parts will be sent to Premium AEROTEC in Augsburg for assembly of the main landing gear attachment, which will finally be delivered to Airbus UK.

In order to guarantee on time and on quality delivery of these parts, Asco will invest in dedicated state of the art equipment that will support and secure the production ramp-up in the years to come.

The memorandum of agreement constitutes recognition by Premium AEROTEC of Asco’s capabilities in production of structural components and complex precision mechanical subassemblies for the aerospace industry. It adds to the long term relationship between Asco Deutschland, subsidiary of the Asco Group, and Premium AEROTEC, for which Asco provides machined detailed parts to its sites in Augsburg, Varel and Nordenham.
