Crowdfunding is a hot topic among today’s youths who are business-minded.
College Station, Texas (PRWEB) July 06, 2012
Robert Dobyns, Founder of Conzortia Business Funding, Inc., will give his Crowdfunding 101 presentation to a group of young entrepreneurs as a part of Duke University’s TIP Series aimed at making high school students across the nation more business savvy.
The series segment, presented by Texas A&M is coordinated by Bill McCaughey of Media Infrastructure
Dobyns will talk about crowdfunding basics such as choosing a project focus, picking a platform and maximizing project results.
"Crowdfunding is a hot topic among today’s youths who are business-minded," Dobyns said. "Its popularity has been driven in part by the huge success of the Pebble Watch project which raised in excess of $10 million dollars last month. Of course, the inclusion of equity-based offerings as a result of the JOBS Act passage has also heightened awareness about crowdfunding."
