The Kickstarter community is a unique group of creative, forward thinking people — just the sort of people we feel this unique movie-making toy will appeal to. It’s a perfect fit.

CC Digital, a Sarasota based start-up with plans on “Reinventing Mobile Movie Making,” developed chromakey software in partnership with Tim Walsh of The Playmakers, to bring a new “APPcessory” toy to market. Crazy Chins Movie Maker kits allow kids to make and share hilarious upside-down chin videos online.

The first app version is in full release allowing owners of Apple products such as the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad2 the ability to download the free app, make an upside-down chin movie, like the ones popularized on websites like youtube and vimeo, and then post the video online with the push of one button.

Chris Abbott, entrepreneur and investor stated, “This is an amazing product that builds on what Tim calls an existing play pattern, these chin videos are so much fun to make and share. We can’t wait to see what the kids come up with!”

When asked about posting the product on Kickstarter, Tim said, “This is an extremely cool toy and we want to make the App available for the 10 plus most popular Android devices. This campaign allows us the opportunity to fund that additional development while giving the owners of Apple devices a chance to experience the fun of the product before it is released. The Kickstarter community is a unique group of creative, forward thinking people — just the sort of people we feel this unique movie-making toy will appeal to. It’s a perfect fit.”

In addition to the Crazy Chins Movie Maker App, CC Digital has developed the Hands-On Green Screen app that is currently being used in conjunction with an exhibit in GWIZ, a children’s museum in Sarasota. CC Digital plans to install similar exhibits in 3 more children's museums in Florida this month.
