Big4, the premier social networking forum for professionals and alumni of Accenture, Andersen, BearingPoint, Capgemini, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers PwC reports that Deloitte Consulting partner, Kaylene O’Brien, was awarded Victorian ICT Woman of the year at the 2012 iAwards held on July 05. reports that she won the category highlighting an inspiring Information Communication Technology (ICT) woman ‘who has made a consistently distinguished contribution to the ICT industry’.

She began her ICT career as a programmer with Andersen Consulting. notes she was drawn to a career in ICT during her business degree when she realised the future was digital. After completing a Graduate Diploma in Information Systems from RMIT, in 1996 she joined Deloitte, embraced her career in ICT Consulting and became a Partner at Deloitte in 2008.

Robert Hillard, Lead Technology partner at Deloitte Consulting commented:

“Kaylene is a highly respected across the ICT industry in Victoria. She is a senior partner in our Technology practice at Deloitte and has been shaping the industry by being a board member of VicICT for Women and through her work with a range of education institutions,” he said.
