Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) July 10, 2012
The International Council on Active Aging® (ICAA), an association that leads, connects and defines the active-aging industry, is pleased to announce the recipient of the inaugural ICAA INSPIRE Award. This awards program recognizes individuals or organizations for their exceptional and lasting contributions to the active-aging industry. These organizations are making a difference in the lives of older adults and the active-aging industry.
“Ten years ago, ICAA set out to change the way we age,” says Colin Milner, the association’s CEO and founder. “The all-important first step was to connect a community of professionals who share this goal, creating an industry dedicated to improving health, well-being and quality of life for people ages 50 and older—the active-aging industry. NuStep was the first organization to support ICAA’s vision and has continued to do so over the years. As the industry has grown and evolved, so have NuStep’s contributions to the industry. NuStep continues to deliver creative wellness products and services that meet the needs of this diverse population,” Milner adds. “On behalf of ICAA, I congratulate NuStep, Inc. on winning the inaugural INSPIRE award.”
“NuStep is truly honored to be the first recipient of the INSPIRE Award,” says Steve Sarns, vice president of sales and marketing at NuStep, Inc. “It’s been a privilege, these last 10 years, to collaborate with both ICAA and active-aging professionals and play a role in the evolution of an industry that is having such a positive impact on the lives of older adults.”
NuStep, Inc receives a crystal award of recognition to display, while an in-depth profile will appear in ICAA’s flagship publication, the Journal on Active Aging®, in 2012.
