Never before in history have our day to day lives been more affected by the decisions made in the political arena. Citizens more than ever want ‘government of the people, by the people, and for the people’ to be a reality rather than a sound bite.

“Man of the People” is the story of a modern day Will Rogers named J. T. Spencer. When Spencer, who is an ordinary “Joe” with absolutely no political ambition, posts a list of solutions to modern societal and political problems, he is swiftly swept up in the tumultuous presidential election. As Spencer’s presence becomes more of a focus and both political parties work to destroy him, he exposes the corruption permeating the political system and empowers the voice of the everyman citizen.
Adams’ political beliefs are woven into the narrative of “Man of the People.” He says, “Never before in history have our day to day lives been more affected by the decisions made in the political arena. Citizens more than ever want ‘government of the people, by the people, and for the people’ to be a reality rather than a sound bite.”
Adams hopes “Man of the People” helps readers come to understand his issues with the federal government and politics. He believes the government is ineffectual in making progress toward solutions for today’s problems.
“I want readers to understand and believe the old saying, ‘All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for enough good men to do nothing,’” says Adams. “I want them to realize that now is the time to act.”
