I have been blown away by our first tranche of “Academites” they have exceeded all expectations and have already added huge value to the business.

With the number of university applications dropping by 8.7% this year and national youth unemployment at 1.03 million, Dynmark have recognised that amongst these figures lies untapped potential for a great future in business and has taken action to address this issue.

The Dynmark Academy gives young people the chance to make a real difference in a growing company through a highly focussed all-encompassing training and development programme. New members to the scheme get exposure to every aspect of the business including marketing, account management, sales and I.T. with the intention that they will progress into a role within one of these teams. Academy members also get the opportunity to be mentored by members of the entire Dynmark team from board level down as well as enrolment on courses at local educational institutions.

Managing Director of Dynmark and founder of the Dynmark Academy states “I struggled to find bright young individuals with the skills Dynmark needed to grow effectively, in my previous role in Messagelabs we had set up a sales academy which proved to be a fantastic way of bringing young people on board into the business. So it made sense to replicate this program in Dynmark but with a focus on Marketing and overall business operations. I have to say I have been blown away by our first tranche of “Academites” they have exceeded all expectations and have already added huge value to the business. They are already far ahead of their peers in terms of real life application of business process and experience as well as earning in most cases. It’s been a real success. I can’t wait for the opportunity to bring the next Academites into the business so we can start the process again, watch this space…”

Each team member after six months is provided with a training budget, to spend as they wish on training that will support their development. For example the courses we have paid for so far range from certified management programs right through to graphic design courses.

The nature of the programme means that after a short period academy members will become the experts in their field and be ready to move into new positions within Dynmark earning per year what their peers just leaving university will owe in tuition fees, with the skills that employers really need and value.

To put this into perspective the Academy has been running for less than a year and Dynmark are already in the position of recruiting the second tranche of ‘Academites’ due to the first recruits of the Academy all moving on and up within the Dynmark business.
