American Vantage Companies Announces Dismissal of Lawsuits and New Board Member

American Vantage Companies (AVCS) announces the dismissal of lawsuits with Big Sandy Rancheria and replacement of a Board Member.

The U.S. District Court, Central District Of California has announced an Order dismissing case 2:11-cv-03495-CAS-AGR Big Sandy Rancheria of Western Mono Indians, et al. v. Brownstone, LLC, a subsidiary of American Vantage Companies. The dismissal included both the complaint and counter complaint that was filed in 2010.

AVCS will now continue to seek the balance of the financing for the Big Sandy Tribe needed to complete the development of the casino project.

AVCS also announced the retirement of Steven Barringer from the Board of Directors having served over 14 years on the Board. He will be replaced with Paul Buonaiuto, President of Vantage Staffing Solutions. "We appreciate Steve Barringer's long tenure and valued contributions to the AVCS Board and wish him well. Mr. Buonaiuto will provide the Board of AVCS with expertise and experience based on his diversified background," stated Douglas R. Sanderson, President, AVCS.
