Donate to Wildlife Organization and Seattle-Based Whale Watching Company, San Juan Safaris, Will Match the Donation until August 18th 2012!

Whale watching company, San Juan Safaris (http://www.SanJuanSafaris.com/), wants to make this August a month to remember. From August 1 through the 18th, for every check made out to Wolf Hollow (http://wolfhollowwildlife.org/) in the amount of $10, San Juan Safaris will match that $10 donation with a $10 per person discount on their 5:30 p.m. tour. What a great way to give a little back and get a great deal in return for your generosity.

Now is the perfect time to book your three-hour whale watching boat with San Juan Safaris!

Friday Harbor and San Juan Island are considered by many, one of the best places on earth to view pods of Orca whales, which scour the area for wild salmon. With limited seasonal viewing opportunities, the summer months are ideal for whale watching. And what better venue for spotting whales and viewing the majestic peaks of the Olympic Mountains than in the comfort of the newest 55 foot San Juan Safaris boat: the SEA LION. On each and every journey of the SEA LION, a modern, comfortable ship, there are highly trained, professional naturalists on board that help passengers spot whales and provide commentary of the surrounding area.

And while on the tour, be sure to take plenty of pictures! Who knows? One of them might be good enough to win a prize in San Juan Safari's annual photo contest. With four categories: 1) whales 2) wildlife 3) people watching whales 4) San Juan Safari boats. It is a good bet that one of those pictures might be worth submitting.

Besides the informative excursions, San Juan Safaris is host to a newly expanded and renovated gift store. There is something exciting in store for everyone - Mom might like the beautiful necklace, bracelets and earrings, while dad will enjoy browsing our vast selection of whale books, posters and key chains. There are tee shirts that change colors and cuddly 4-foot long whale and octopus plush creatures for the kids. For those who think Christmas year round, there are ten new collectible Christmas ornaments. For a great souvenir; there are greeting cards, post cards, magnets, and last, but certainly not least, fun Orca hats.

With all this fun, it's not hard to overlook the good people of San Juan Safaris. They believe in giving back to the community who supports them as well as donating to the wildlife societies who work on preserving the natural beauty of the area and protecting and enhancing local wildlife.

San Juan Safaris’ donations through the years have included many great charitable organizations and causes. Recipients of their generous donations have included, but are not limited to: Washington Wild, People for Puget Sound, The Center for Whale Research, Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Seattle Aquarium, Woodland Park Zoo, Save our Wild Salmon, and Evening of Hope.
