MSPexcellence today announced a new market research initiative to examine the services offered and the strategies used by successful Cloud Solutions Providers (CSPs). The study includes both qualitative and quantitative research methods for investigating the technologies and business practices employed by IT Service Providers as they establish and grow a profitable recurring revenue business based on the cloud. The objective of the survey is to answer the following questions:

The qualitative research includes a strategic analysis of the top CSPs to determine the technologies used, solutions offered and services delivered to their customers. This analysis will reveal the success formula for a successful cloud solutions business as defined by leading edge providers.
The quantitative research is based on a survey polling thousands of IT Service Providers asking them to identify the chargeable services they offer as either one-time professional services or as ongoing managed services to support the delivery of IT solutions. This analysis will identify trends in pricing, margin performance and service mix among a broad community and cross section of providers.
