Fitness Consulting Group, parent company of, has just won the Bronze Stevie – third place honors- in the category of Company of the Year for Business Services at the American Business Awards. The award ceremony, now in its 10th year of existence, was held on June 18th in New York City.

Fitness Consulting Group is the brain child of fitness business entrepreneurs Pat Rigsby and Nick Berry. After working independently within the fitness industry, the two met and formed a partnership with the goal of remaking “business as usual” within the fitness community.

“We have positioned ourselves as a go to resource for like-minded fitness business owners who want to move away from the model established by health clubs and big box gyms,” says Berry. “Our goal is to help support people in the process of creating results-driven, sustainable businesses.”

In recognition of an outstanding year of growth and client services, Fitness Consulting Group was nominated for the “Stevie” in the category of Company of the Year (Business Services). After a long deliberation process, the Elizabethtown, Kentucky based company placed third.

One such entity is the fitness franchising chain Fitness Revolution, which just launched in 2011. Within its first year, it managed to establish franchises in over 40 states.

Fitness Revolution’s success is yet another success story for the thriving Fitness Consulting Group. “We know that we have the right information to help fitness business owners succeed,” said co-founder Pat Rigsby. “But even more than that, we’re passionate about what we’re doing.”

Fitness Consulting Group’s continued success comes as no shock to business insiders who appreciate the company's client-centered approach. In fact, the awards serve to validate the company's strategy of meeting individual needs within its successful business models.

“We had such an amazing 2011 and this award is a testament to that,” Rigsby continued. “But I think we have even bigger things planned for 2012.”
