Hot days lead to cool evenings- a perfect combination for a celebration of wine, authentic Cuban food and music in the Courtyard at Castello di Amorosa. Themed as all Cuban, guests are encouraged to don a Fedora or Panama hat and wear comfortable Cuban threads as we celebrate summer.
“This certainly is a split from our Italian-focused, medieval events,” said Georg Salzner, President of Castello di Amorosa. “This party was a big hit last year, the weather was perfect and event was such a success that we brought it back again.”
Guests will enjoy a unique winery tour for a tasting of future 2011 wines in the cool, 12,000 square foot, Roman cross-vaulted Grand Barrel Room with winemaker, Brooks Painter followed by a buffet of sumptuous Cuban fare in the Great Hall.
As the sun sets over the vineyards, dance the night away in the Courtyard to the hot Cuban music of the Carlos Herrera Band. To help you get in the groove, the Yemaya Salsa Dance group from Sacramento will provide salsa dance lessons.
Baker Street Downtown from Napa will provide cigars and Art of Cigars will roll fresh cigars with a hand-roller. The Mobile Man Cave- a unique cigar-focused RV- will provide an assortment of cigars that pair perfectly with the Castello di Amorosa wines including Painter’s rich and seductive, 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon.
The cost for this wine club event is $95 and $115 for their guests. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 707-967-6274 or visit us: http://www.castellodiamorosa.com
Following fourteen years of construction, Dario Sattui opened Castello di Amorosa on April 9, 2007. Situated in the hills above Calistoga, Castello di Amorosa- a family-owned business- produces world-class wines including Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Grigio which are sold only at the winery direct to the consumer. The castle winery was made with brick, wood and iron imported from Europe and combined with over 8,000 tons of local, Napa Valley stone. Today, Castello di Amorosa, a popular Napa Valley destination, offers a variety of wine tasting and touring options in a unique Tuscan castle setting.
