Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 09, 2012
Nearly half of the world’s population lives on less than two dollars per day. In the United States, poverty afflicts some 46 million people, or about 15 percent of the populace. Billions of people, many of them children, struggle to maintain a meager existence, often within unsafe conditions in large cities and war-torn countries. Something must be done to help the disenfranchised in the United States and around the globe. This is the mission of a new charitable organization called NO MORE POVERTY (nmp.org) .
NO MORE POVERTY is a not-for-profit charity organization based in Los Angeles, CA and founded by brothers Michael Omidi, M.D. and Julian Omidi. The Omidi brothers are fervently committed to doing whatever it takes to lessen the struggles and improve the quality of life for families everywhere. NO MORE POVERTY (nmp.org) works with individuals and like-minded organizations to address the issues associated with poverty. Their work is two -fold:
“The need is great. Even here in the United States which is undeniably one of the richest nation in the world,” adds Julian Omidi. “We want to help improve the lives of people around the world, and here in our own neighborhoods too. Pulling yourself and your family out of the depths of poverty is incredibly difficult to do on your own. NO MORE POVERTY will provide a helping hand, giving people hope for a brighter future for themselves and their children.”
You are invited to join the Omidi brothers in their impassioned fight to help improve the lives of the world’s less fortunate . Your contributions of time and money are encouraged and welcome.
