“Cancer is life changing,” Sullivan says. “Early detection makes the difference. Be hopeful, believe and fight."
SPENCER, OK (PRWEB) July 11, 2012
According to the most recent statistics from the American Cancer Society, there are nearly 12 million Americans living with cancer. It’s a widespread disease that affects all segments of the population, either directly or indirectly. In her latest book, “Cancer Is Just Right For God” (published by AuthorHouse April 2011), Ester S. Sullivan sets out to provide comfort for those affected by this widespread epidemic.
Sullivan, a breast cancer survivor herself, draws on personal experience and her unyielding faith in God to offer readers a resource for coping with the stress, pain and confusion that comes with a cancer diagnosis.
“This book will let the people with cancer know that I have walked in their shoes,” Sullivan explains. “I wanted to share my experience with other cancer patients to walk them through the first circumstances so that they would not feel so alone. I want my book to be a blessing to the ones that read it.”
According to Sullivan, a solid foundation of faith and knowledge of the disease and its treatment are the keys to staying positive during an otherwise stressful time. She offers words of encouragement, and in sharing her own story, lets others in similar situations know that they are not alone.
“Cancer is life changing,” Sullivan says. “Early detection makes the difference. Be hopeful, believe and fight.’
