I was born to help others through their hardships as a compassionate registered nurse, a community speaker, and author who gives them hope and courage to overcome their obstacles
SWANSEA, Mass. (PRWEB) July 11, 2012
Through hemangioma, systemic lupus, congestive heart failure, pneumonia and kidney failure, author Jennifer De Sousa still found a way to stay positive. Her inspirational autobiography, “Metal Butterfly: Lupus, the Enemy that Lurked within Me" (published by iUniverse), shares her secrets to staying focused on her life goals.
According to De Sousa, “Metal Butterfly” symbolizes the courage she used to overcome the illnesses that threatened her for most of her life. She says that through the power of prayer and out of the hardship of her circumstances, she was able to discover her purpose in life.
“I was born to help others through their hardships as a compassionate registered nurse, a community speaker, and author who gives them hope and courage to overcome their obstacles,” says De Sousa.
De Sousa knows as well as anyone that life brings many challenges. She wants readers to use her book to find hope and courage to fight their everyday challenges and to find the motivation to never give up on their dreams.
“My dream is to bring my message to an even great population and possibly help many others live better lives,” she says. “Someone who lifts their chin up and doesn’t let sickness take over, recuperates much faster, than one who gives up and I’m my own witness to this fact.”
