Sydney, Australia (PRWEB) July 16, 2012
Blip A Deal, a free and innovative service that takes the work out of finding and managing group buying and daily deals has recently launched a new and intuitive API (Application Programming Interface) that simplifies the task for businesses and developers to gain access to a warehouse of daily deals data from around the world.
The API will allow third party systems to communicate and retrieve daily deal data based on specific criteria as defined by the developer. Although newly released, it is warmly welcomed by Blip A Deal’s business partners, who seek to utilize this information in a multitude of new and creative ways for use in their web or mobile applications.
Currently the Blip A Deal API supports accessing worldwide deals by geographic location, using a set of keywords or by a defined category. But perhaps one of the more unique features is the ability for developers to pass in a set of keywords or a short phrase and a list of relevant deals will be returned, therefore allowing developers to tailor deals based on user preferences
In addition, the Blip A Deal API provides the developers with the ability to gain access to the daily deals data in both English and the local language of the requested country. This will make it easier for developer’s around the world with non-English speaking backgrounds to display the daily deals in the language of their choice based on their audience.
The API is now available for use and has the complete developer documentation available online. For further information you can visit http://www.blipadeal.com/dev-api to see some examples of how to use the API. To gain developer access to the API, just submit the online form and once the request has been approved, a token and secret will be provided for direct API access.
