Part of Nashville Writers Circle Series for those with a Serious Intent to Write

Nashville Public Library presents Nashville Writers Circle, hosted by John Seigenthaler and Will Akers on July 15 at 3:00 p.m. at 615 Church St. Doors will open at 2:00, a reception at 2:30 and the discussion at 3:00. Two Nashville authors will be featured- Rodney Crowell, author of Chinaberry Sidewalks and Jack Hurst, author of Born to Battle.

Come take part in a lively conversation about the art and craft, heartaches and joys of writing. The event will be an intimate gathering of serious of writers. For more information, visit http://www.library.nashville.org.

About the Authors
Rodney Crowell has released nearly twenty albums in four decades, with five consecutive number-one hits, and has also worked widely as a songwriter and a producer. His honors include a Grammy, an ASCAP lifetime achievement award, and membership in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Jack Hurst is a historian and former journalist whose books include Nathan Bedford Forrest: A Biography and Men of Fire. A native of Maryville, Tennessee, and a descendant of both Union and Confederate soldiers, he maintains a blog on the concurrent anniversaries of the Civil War and the Civil Rights movement at http://civilwarandcivilrights.com/.
