It’s rewarding to know that our guests recognize and value the service and experience that Troon and CostaBaja strives to provide everyday

CostaBaja Golf Club, a championship Gary Player-designed golf course overlooking the Sea of Cortez, announced today that it has received perfect scores for its “Overall” experience measured by customer surveys completed during the first two quarters of 2012. The surveys also show that CostaBaja is receiving high marks for its “Golf Experience” and “Golf Course Conditions,” as well as its “Food and Beverage Experience.”

“We’re thrilled to receive such high praise from our customers,” said Carl Rygg, General Manager of CostaBaja Golf Club. “It’s rewarding to know that our guests recognize and value the service and experience that Troon and CostaBaja strives to provide everyday.”

Taking advantage of a spectacular veranda overlooking the Sea of Cortez, CostaBaja Golf Club is the first Gary Player-designed golf course in Latin America, joining a portfolio of more than 300 projects in 35 countries on five continents by Gary Player Design. The course’s rolling, verdant fairways imbed seamlessly into CostaBaja’s unique desert-by-the-sea landscape while, at the same time, complimenting the existing ecosystem and providing an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all levels. Troon was selected to meet the golfer’s expectations of a quality experience when the course opened in November 2010.

“The landscape of the CostaBaja site in La Paz excited me from the beginning. There is so much contrast in what we were able to create there with the green fairways against the desert conditions and the beautiful blue Sea of Cortez,” said Gary Player. “It is a very strong layout set against such stunning visuals. I just love the different experiences golfers will have throughout their rounds.”

Visiting golfers will also benefit from the luxurious comforts of CostaBaja Resort and Spa, the first five-star property in La Paz. Managed by Grand Heritage Hotels, the resort sits adjacent to the 250-slip double-basin marina and white sand beaches and features 115 rooms, the first spa in La Paz, two pools and two signature restaurants. Besides golf, other recreational pursuits available at CostaBaja include tennis, scuba diving, snorkeling, boating, kayaking and fishing in a region once described by Jacques Cousteau as “The World’s Aquarium.”

CostaBaja offers a selection of real estate opportunities, including the Las Colinas one- and two-story hillside homes set between the ninth and tenth holes of the Gary Player Signature Golf Course, Vista Mar Residences and Villas set on a bluff, some with views of the Sea of Cortez and the new Residence Club at CostaBaja, starting at $97,000 for fractional ownership of a Las Colinas townhome. All homeowners receive social membership to the luxurious CostaBaja Beach Club on property.
