Armor Venue comes swinging into the Gladiator ring with its special line of products made as replicas of the props used in this motion picture. From justice-seeking swords to fine Spanish armor, any Gladiator fan can now embody General Maximus himself with these officially-licensed replicas.
The selection of Gladiator-themed weaponry includes Gladiator swords made by Windlass Steelcrafts, the same company that manufactured the actual props for the movie set. One highly-rated item, the Sword of General Maximus, is a replica of the fine weapon Maximus wielded as a Roman General before his betrayal and fall out of grace and into the gladiators’ den. The sword has a 30-inch blade made of hand-forged high-carbon steel, as well as a decorative wood and brass hilt and pommel. This piece comes with a scabbard and baldric.
Armor Venue also seeks to keep its fans well-covered with its Cuirass and Vambraces of the Spaniard. The cuirass is leather and equipped with side straps to achieve a good fit. The leather vambraces have adjustable leather lacing, and the wrist strap measures 100-inches to wrap all the way around the wrist, palm, and forearm, just as the film portrays.
To complete the ensemble, Armor Venue also offers the Helmet of the Spaniard. This elaborate piece stands in sharp contrast to the lowly conditions the gladiators were forced to live in. With its antiqued finish and extensions to protect the mouth, the piece is as ready for reenactments as it is for display.
For the true enthusiast, Armor Venue has compiled the key Gladiator pieces into a complete set, which includes:
- The Cuirass and Vambraces of the Spaniard
- The Helmet of the Spaniard
- The Arena Sword
- A Chainmail Full Sleeve
- A Gladiator Blue Tunic.
All items are licensed products from the movie.
