Allied Van Lines Canada Plants more than 16,500 Trees

Three-Year Silver-level Sponsorship of Tree Canada Supports Corporate Environmental Efforts

Allied Van Lines Inc., one of the world’s largest moving companies and a subsidiary of SIRVA Inc., is pleased to announce its sponsorship of Tree Canada, a not-for-profit charitable organization established to encourage Canadians to plant and care for trees in urban and rural environments has resulted in more than 16,500 trees to be planted across Canada by the end of the year.

Over the past three years, a tree has been or will be planted by Tree Canada for every 3,000 miles driven by Allied Canada, which has equated to more than 45 million miles or 15,000 trees. Allied Canada contributed $11,052 in incremental support that has allowed Tree Canada to plant an additional 1600 trees on the behalf of its customers.

"The last three years of our partnership with Tree Canada have been very rewarding,” commented Rob Grohn, president of Allied Van Lines Canada. "As we drive across this great country, it will be exciting to visually see the impact we’ve made in helping the environment."
