Survalent Technology, the most trusted provider of smart grid solutions for the control room, announced today that it has commissioned a new Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for the City of Weatherford, Texas.
The Weatherford Electric Utility serves more than 13,402 residential, commercial and industrial customers. The certified service area is approximately 52 square miles with approximately 139 miles of underground and 174 miles of overhead lines. They are a member of the Texas Public Power Association (TPPA).
The new system features Survalent’s highly available, open-architecture system based on Windows Server. It includes several of Survalent's open system applications, including: Worldview, Command Sequencing, Disturbance Analysis, Event Data Recording, SCADA Add-In, SCADA Replicator, IED Wizard, Control Panel and Remote Alarm Annunciation.
