LMI Systems, Inc., Atlanta’s premiere high and low voltage solutions provider, announced today that it would be selling and installing digital cinema players from Doremi. The firm, which recently shipped its 40,000th unit, is the world’s leading provider of digital cinema players, and is renowned for creating superior-quality products with unsurpassed feature sets.
“Digital cinema has taken the world by storm, and many of our customers are installing these players for a variety of uses,” said Scott Goodwin, President of LMI Systems, Inc. “In keeping with our tradition of working only with the top providers in a given industry, when we evaluated the market for digital cinema, we knew that Doremi had a product line we could confidently offer to our clients.”
Digital cinema has experienced rapid adoption in settings ranging from museums and universities to high-end home theaters. The files are easier to ship and secure than traditional film reels, and the image quality is much better. Doremi’s digital cinema players are actually servers that incorporate a playback management utility enabling users to program multiple features, trailers, advertisements and other auxiliary files for a single playback session. The servers are capable of playing 4K files, which offer ultra-high resolution (up to 4096x2160).
Doremi is a leading developer and manufacturer of videodisk recorders and video servers for the broadcast, post production, digital cinema and ProAv markets. Established in 1985, the Los Angeles-based company’s first product was the DAWN workstation for audio post production. For more information, visit http://www.doremilabs.com.
