Franchise Clique is the first lead generator to ever use television as a method of recruitment within the franchise industry. Each commercial, produced by Spot Creative, is 60-seconds in length and touts the benefits of franchise ownership in addition to featuring over 30 of Franchise Clique’s clients. Each commercial also pans the company’s website, zooming in on franchise concepts and serving as a tutorial on how best to search for available franchise opportunities.

“Television has never been pursued as a means of lead generation in the history of our industry,” says Franchise Clique’s chief executive officer David Schwartz. The majority of franchise lead generators rely heavily on e-mail marketing, various advertisements, search engine optimization and their own website to generate leads.

“We’ve produced three national television commercials that not only get the word out about the benefits of franchising, but give our clients publicity and exposure unheard of from a lead generator,” Schwartz explains.

David Schwartz was compelled to “invest in a new kind of audience” and “dare to be different” after researching how companies outside of the industry were bringing in new business. “It was a risky investment,” says Schwartz, “but one that we felt was worthwhile for our clients and for our client’s potential franchisees.”

Two of the commercials are currently airing on various networks including CNN, USA, FX, Bravo, and HGTV, in over 17 major cities. One commercial, produced for Franchise Clique’s sister website, Franchise Buy.com, is still in production.

“Franchising is one of few industries that weathered the Great Recession without significant losses and has seen substantial growth in the years that followed,” says Schwartz, who has been a part of the franchise industry for over 12 years, recognizes the value of franchise ownership.
