Funds Raised Will Be Used To Procure Medicines

MAP International is partnering with Crown & Caliber in a fundraising effort to provide medicines to children in some of the world’s least developed countries. Crown & Caliber, the nation’s premier purchaser of high-end luxury timepieces, will be donating to MAP International a portion of the proceeds of each timepiece it buys from customers. For its part, MAP International will use the funds to procure and distribute antibiotics, deworming treatments and dehydration-based treatments to help those in need.

The unique cause-marketing relationship, entitled, “Buying Time”, is designed to make each minute count. With each watch sold to Crown & Caliber, customers will be provided with cash compensation while also buying time for 12 children who will receive essential medical treatments through MAP’s global partnerships with medical organizations.

"Buying high-end luxury watches may be our business, but our passion is buying time for children who are at risk of dying without immediate medical assistance," said Joy Glaze, Marketing Director at Crown & Caliber. “We are excited that we can use an item that measures time, to give time. Our entire team is proud to be working with MAP International to contribute what we can to aid in this critical effort.”

Additionally, beginning July 13 and continuing through the end of the month, Crown & Caliber is running a special Z-Pak promotion to further assist in MAP’s efforts. For every social share of the link to Crown & Caliber’s “Our Movement” webpage, the company will donate a Z-Pak to MAP International. The campaign will further Crown & Caliber’s personal contribution to MAP while simultaneously building awareness for the charity.

MAP International is recognized by many charitable watchdog groups including Charity Navigator, which recently ranked MAP #1 on its list of “10 of the Best Charities Everyone Has Heard Of”. According to Charity Navigator’s website, “these charities adhere to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and that they execute their missions in a fiscally responsible way”.

“We thank the people at Crown & Caliber for their generous donation of funds and also for helping build awareness in the important work we do,” said Scott Walters, Chief Development Officer of MAP. “From the start, it was obvious that Crown & Caliber wanted to incorporate a corporate social responsibility program within its business model. We are pleased with the efforts of the team in developing a transparent program.”
