ElanTech today announced the release of the newest versions of its Incident Management Decision Support System (IMDSS) software. Web-based IMDSS version 1.3 was released on July 5, 2012, and its mobile edition, IMDSS iOS version 1.4 is available at the Apple iTunes store.

IMDSS is a highly secure web-based software tool that aggregates emergency management information into a geospatially organized dashboard. Incident commanders and their teams use the IMDSS platform to coordinate real-time data from first responders, citizens, and local and national government agencies, allowing for better, faster decision making and more efficient incident response.

Improvements for IMDSS version 1.3 include:

•     Customizable incident and ICS group types
•     Maps provided by Bing, allowing for address-based route-planning, search and incident creation
•     Enhanced document management

Improvements for the mobile edition of IMDSS iOS version 1.4 include:

•     New Incident Information View
•     Place phone calls to teammates from maps
•     More notification settings options
•     Shake to refresh data in Views
•     Immediately view created Incidents
•     Opt-in to send error logs
•     Higher resolution map icons
•     Improved alert messages

IMDSS was developed by ElanTech in cooperation with Murray State University through a contract from the Kentucky Critical Infrastructure Protection Program, managed by The National Institute For Hometown Security. for the Department of Homeland Security.
