Albright Stonebridge Group (ASG), a global strategy firm, today announced the addition of four new Senior Directors – former Chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisors Martin Baily, former White House Domestic Policy Advisor Melody Barnes, former Chilean Ambassador to Washington Arturo Fermandois and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Richard Williamson.

“These distinguished public servants will be invaluable additions to our global team,” said Anthony Harrington, President and CEO of Albright Stonebridge Group. “Their years of experience in government and the private sector will significantly expand our capacity to help our clients with commercial diplomacy in a complex global marketplace.”

ASG’s new global team members include:

  •     Martin Baily, former Chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisors, is based in Washington, DC. Previously, Baily served as a senior advisor to the McKinsey Global Institute and to the Congressional Budget Office. He also serves as a Senior Fellow in Brookings’ Economic Studies Program, holding the Bernard L. Schwartz Chair in Economic Policy Development. As one of the leading U.S. economists, Baily will advise ASG and its clients on macroeconomic trends, risk and private capital investment around the world.
  •     Melody Barnes, former Assistant to the President and Director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, is based in Washington, DC. Previously, she was the Executive Vice President for Policy at the Center for American Progress and served as Chief Counsel to Senator Edward M. Kennedy on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Barnes currently serves as New York University's Vice Provost for Global Student Leadership Initiatives and Senior Fellow at the Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service, as well as Chair of the Aspen Forum for Community Solutions. In her role as Senior Director, Barnes will provide strategic advice and help ASG’s clients forge multi-sector partnerships – uniting public, private, and civil society sectors to deliver solutions.
  •     Arturo Fermandois, previously the Ambassador of Chile to the United States, is based in Santiago, Chile. A regular contributor to Chilean and foreign professional journals, Fermandois is an expert in economic regulatory law. He is also Professor of Constitutional Law at the Catholic University of Chile, and has been a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Law School. Ambassador Fermandois will bring his deep understanding of Chilean trade, investment and legal environment to ASG clients, providing strategic advice on market entry, corporate positioning and strategic issues in Chile.
  •     Richard Williamson, former Ambassador to the United Nations is based in Chicago, where he is Senior Fellow for the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and Visiting Professor of International Relations at Northwestern University’s Buffet Center. Williamson is also the founder of Salisbury Strategies LLP, a consulting firm focusing on international business and regulatory issues.
