In her new novel “Expressions of a Self-Rising Flower” (published by Trafford Publishing), author B.L. Gordon delivers an intriguing tale of love and self-awakening.
Gordon sets her romance novel on her charming and innocent heroine, Goldie. When Goldie, finds herself returning home for the burial of her favorite uncle, she also finds herself confronted with many family issues and secrets that are resurrected upon her return. With humor and insight, Goldie decides that funerals are “no fun at all.” Will she be up to the test of facing these hidden family secrets in light of her own personal challenges?
“This book expresses an open-minded view about finding joy and happiness,” says Gordon. “The past can shape us, but it doesn’t have to control our present.”
As Gordon’s Goldie finds her way to wisdom and clarity, readers too may find themselves growing closer to the knowledge of who they are and what they are to be.
“There is nothing nebulous about find joy in this world,” states Gordon. “There are major players in our life, but we can maintain control of the ball in our court and declare ourselves to be winners as we learn the lessons of the moment and blossom fully in the golden hour of truth and honesty as it is revealed to us, no matter how old we are.”
